CLIPYT

YouTube timestamp link generator.

Share a YouTube video from a specific time without downloading it. Paste the original video URL, enter seconds or a timestamp, and copy a clean youtu.be link. This tool runs in your browser and does not submit the video URL to Clipyt. A timestamp link starts playback at a moment; it does not set an end.

Use whole seconds, mm:ss or hh:mm:ss. The link starts playback at this time; it does not set an end.

Create a link in three steps

For example, 01:10 becomes t=70. Existing tracking parameters and the old start time are removed from the generated link.

  1. Paste a YouTube watch, youtu.be or Shorts URL.
  2. Enter a whole number of seconds, mm:ss or hh:mm:ss.
  3. Create the link, copy it and check playback on YouTube.

What the link can and cannot do

The generator checks URL structure and timestamp syntax. It does not load the video, check its duration or verify that it is public. A timestamp beyond the duration, a removed video or a restricted source may not play as expected. Player behavior can differ between YouTube surfaces.

A timestamp link does not create a file or stop playback at an end time. Use a native YouTube Clip to share a bounded excerpt when available, or a permitted selected-range export when you need MP4 or MOV.

Common questions

Does this download a video?

No. It creates a playback link. No media is downloaded, converted or uploaded.

Can I set an end time?

No. A timestamp link sets a start time only. Use a native Clip link for a shared bounded excerpt when the source supports it.

Does Clipyt receive my video URL?

This generator processes the URL in your browser and does not submit it to Clipyt. Opening the generated link connects to YouTube.
