How Clipyt handles your account and temporary clips.
Your account
Signing in shares your Google account’s stable identifier, name and verified email with Clipyt. We use these details to identify you, apply your plan and let you manage your account. We don’t store your Google password or Google access/refresh tokens, and we don’t request access to your YouTube channel.
Clips and essential cookies
A signed, HTTP-only cookie keeps your session and guest allowance. It is necessary for the service, not advertising. Account sessions expire after 14 days and can be revoked from your account page. Daily usage counters are retained for up to 30 days. To prevent guest limits being reset by clearing cookies, a keyed hash of your network address also counts anonymous requests; the raw address is not stored in this counter.
Your submitted video link and timestamps are processed to make your clip. Media is held temporarily on the processing server. Completed clips are stored privately in Cloudflare R2 for 60 minutes, with short-lived download links. A lifecycle rule provides additional cleanup after a day. Active job information is lost if the application restarts.
Providers and payments
Google handles authentication. Stripe processes subscription payments and retains billing records under its own policies; Clipyt stores customer and subscription references, not card details. Cloudflare stores the completed files. Loading a video preview connects your browser to YouTube. These providers may process data in countries other than yours.
Deletion and contact
You can delete your profile and stored clips from your account page after any subscription cancellation takes effect. This revokes all Clipyt sessions. Private database backups may retain a snapshot for up to 14 days and must not be used to restore deleted accounts. Stripe’s legally required transaction records are separate. Server logs can include technical request information; the deployment should use the retention limits documented in the launch checklist.
